People often ask, "Which browser do you recommend?" I've typically replied that it depends on your use. Another point I make is that some programs have glitches with one browser and will work in another, so it's always good to have at least to "go to" browsers on any computer for simple troubleshooting.
I'm a big fan of Google Chrome. I've recently been testing the waters with a Chromebook and have been enjoying my time in the Google Chrome "store"- https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/home?hl=en-US. Chrome allows users to install "apps" directly into their browser, adding a lot of FUNctionality to the typical browser. I have found typing tutors, calculators, dropbox, sketch pads, timers and lots more.
Bottom line is that there is no "one browser fits all" but some do fit better than others and all of them need to be kept up to date to make them the best fit for you and your everyday use.
Happy surfing!
