Not sure if kids are allowed to use the internet?

Thanks to Craig Lucci and Bill Steinbach for pulling this one together....

If you would like to find out if the students in your class have been approved for web access as well as if they are approved to have their photos and videos posted online, you can access that information in Global Pinnacle. This replaces the Web 2.0 form that was used the past two school years.

**Note to specials teachers: I would suggest checking with classroom teachers to find out if their students are approved. It took me a couple of minutes to check my whole class. So now that I know, there is no reason why you should have to go back in and check too!

1. Log in.

2. Click on 'Gradebook Grid.

3. Click on a student's name, and a box with demographics will pop up

4. Check to make sure that it is 'True' for both 'Electronic Networks' and 'Photo Video Permission' at the bottom of the box.

5. To check the rest of your class, click on the dropdown menu at the top of the box where your student's name first appears.

**If students are not approved, call the parents to find out about their concerns and discuss what you intend to use the internet for in your class this year. If they have a better understanding of your intentions and your need for this approval, they might decide differently. It can't hurt to ask.**

If you have any questions, please let us know.
