Message from co-founder Steve Hargadon:

The 2011 Global Education Conference will be held November 14 - 18, online and free. Sessions will take place in multiple time zones and multiple languages over the five days. The 2010 Global Education Conference had 15,028 unique logins and presentations from 62 countries.

To attend and be kept informed of the latest conference news and updates, please join this network (you can still attend sessions if your membership is pending). The sessions schedule is now live and available in multiple time zones HERE.

The conference is held using the software platform Blackboard Collaborate (formerly Elluminate).  To check that your computer is ready for Blackboard Collaborate, please go here. More information is here.

Special announcements during the conference will be listed here:

The conference is a collaborative, world-wide community initiative involving students, educators, and organizations at all levels. It is designed to significantly increase opportunities for building education-related connections around the globe while supporting cultural awareness and recognition of diversity.

The conference seeks to present ideas, examples, and projects related to connecting educators and classrooms with a strong emphasis on promoting global awareness, fostering global competency, and inspiring action towards solving real–world problems. Through this event, it is our hope that attendees will challenge themselves and others to become more active citizens of the world. Let us learn, question, create, and engage in meaningful, authentic opportunities within a global context!

Our goal is to help you make connections with other educators and students, and for this reason the conference is very inclusive and also provides broad opportunities for participating and presenting. We have expert presenters and keynote speakers, but we also encourage presenters who either have not presented before or have not presented in Blackboard Collaborate (Elluminate).

We are still looking for conference volunteers, non-commercial partners, commercial sponsors, and international advisory panel members!  You can let us know of your interests after you sign in on this site using the forms on the different conference pages. Potential sponsor organizations can contact Steve Hargadon immediately at the contact information below.

Thank you for your interest!

Steve Hargadon
Founder and Co-Chair
